CogX is the UK’s largest technology festival and the largest AI festival outside of China. Observatory were approached by Production Partners 80six and Marble LDN to produce an interactive touch screen installation to demonstrate how the future of banking might work with AI in the future.

The project was a “choose your own adventure” storyline experience allowing attendees to make financial decisions in a range of scenarios and gain perspective on the various abilities of AI based on APIs currently in development. We came up with the creative direction for HSBC’s “Siri” style representation of AI and worked within the brand guidlines to come up with an interface design which borrowed from various apsects of their website, printwork and brand elements. The piece got lots of attention and started a lot of conversations on the stand.
